Michael had an injury filled year after being knocked off his bike in the first round and suffering a broken ankle. Despite his injury he competed in all the rounds and finally found his form by finishing second at the final round at Donnington Park in September.

Michael is confident that 2005 will be his year and is hoping to make it his springboard to a full British Superbike ride for 2006. Michael recently visited the 38th Macau Motorcycle GP in Asia where he was lucky/unluckly enough to get a ride around the 6km street circuit on the back of Michael Rutters specially converted Honda Superbike on which he won the Macau GP for the fifth time.
